We drove out of the city into a little village to visit a school started by Srey Sros who used to work with Matthew and Melissa. She is the daughter of a pastor and has a heart for teaching and helping families. The students attend the local primary school in the morning and then attend her school, which is right next door, in the afternoon to learn English. The students come once a week, with a new group of students coming each day. Due to their circumstances they are not all able to get school supplies, so the school provides pencils and other supplies for the students.

The director of the school is an amazing woman who, even with struggles of her own, gives 100% to her students and strives to improve the school. We were able to sit with her and hear some of her story, some of her family history and things that are happening with her family today. She is resilient, dedicated to her calling, and confident that God will provide. Listening to her share with us was a humbling experience. She and her family have overcome so much and they have joy in their hearts, confidence in their calling and a deep faith that God will make all things well, and she has a smile that lights up any room.
