This afternoon BigZabba and I were practicing her spelling words.

dog, sat, go, on, girl

She was doing great so I decided to add some words that weren’t on the list to see how she did.

bun, mat, cat, egg, bat

She still got them all right.  With a smile on her face she said,

You can’t beat a first grader!
